Rachelle Byrne has the rare qualities of a natural: an exceptionally good ear, the ability to harmonize easily, to retain songs and song parts and deliver them flawlessly, and to hear each note in a played chord. Though there were some musical influences in her family, Rachelle's singing career began in a Detroit audition in which at the age of 17, with no previous singing experience, she was persuaded by a friend to compete against 12 other girls for a singing part, and won it.

Rachelle sings with a soulful and genuine voice that keeps listeners present for the music. She has a versatile style with jazz underpinnings and delivers each song with emotion and sincerity. Her contagious love of music is underscored by the professionalism she has gained through performances at countless venues, including The Penthouse suite at the Fairmont, Au Bierge de Sole, country clubs, hotels, wineries, golf clubs, weddings, and more.

Rachelle has performed with Michael Bolivar, Peter Welker, Michael Barclay, Blue Moon, City Lights, Grant Johnson, Chris Hayes (from Huey Lewis and the News), Metro with Lenny Landry, Mike Lufkin, Steve Rubardt and Topcat, Michael Revinous (formerly with the Drifters), and many others.

She has recorded backups and lead parts on several album projects, mostly originals, including work at the Sausalito Record Plant, Blair Hardman Studio, and Prairie Sun Studio.

Recent projects include the album, "Beating Hearts," by Warren Dennis, Michael Barclay's album, "Michael Barclay and friends," and several jingles.
